Description
Experience Level: Expert
Attached is an architectural design for a 5 bedrooms family house, located on the top of a chalk cliff. (The soil report is attached).
The unique topographic nature of the site makes it "a must" NOT to drill any pile or foundation within 6-10m of the crest. For that, the architect has proposed a cantilever footing solution, as shown on the the attached drawings on (section A-A & B-B). This proposal fulfils the main requirement of the restriction of the “no-load” on the land within 6-10m of the cliff crest.
We require a structure report that verifies the concept proposed through:
1- Estimating the imperial building loads.
2- Design the cantilever profile and the H Piles on axis 1,2,3&4.
To confirm that "the proposed cantilever footing as proposed away from the crest is feasible".
