Dear Designers,
We are looking for a Graphic Designer who can produce a high-end mail order catlogue. We have created a Contents List for the sections we would like to have inside the Catlogue. Example of the pages would be; Introduction into Company, Ways to Pay, Delivery, How to use Catlogue, How To's & Tips, Introduction into each Section and so on.
We have 12 main Categories which are then split again into other various sub-sections. In total there will be around 350 Base Products, which are then mixed into Starter Packages and Kits - Which would make up another 100 entries.
We presently are going through the Range and taking In-Depth High Quailty Pictures of products which will then be cut out and ready to insert into a Template. We have another team of people working on content in the form of text. With an editor to manage the content side of things, we need a designer to create templates with various colours and designs related to each Sub Section.
We have created a rough outline of how we would like it to look, however, this is more focused on the Code, Product Title, Price etc. List of Symbols are still to be created.
We want the Catlogue to be easy to use. Clearer and easier to follow than a Screw Fix Catlogue for example. It is clearly important to get a lot of information on to each page and certain sections will require more detail than others. We are hoping to change the formt from 8 items per page to 3-4 items. Thus differnet templates will be used depending on each varying section.
We are really looking for someone who has previously created multiple catlogues . We want to really focus on people browsing through it, writing down the codes and then going online or coming to our store with codes in hand so we can process the Order thereby making the process more efficient and effective. Mail Order is clearly important although the catlogue is more a tool to support our Web Sales and Retail Stores. Giving people the option of picking one up to have a browse, decide what they want from Home and then come in with a list.
I hope this makes it a little clearer. If not then please fire back some questions and I will re-edit the Description to clarify any areas.
The important thing for us is to pick the right Designer who is focused on the Job, who can help us clarify and refine our basic verison and then turn it to something that is user-friendly and simple for our customers, yet at the same time can be used as an Introduction to the company and the product categories section.
Sending Previous work and Ideas will help us to select the most appropriate Graphic Designer for the position.
Looking forward to hearing from you all soon.
