Description
Experience Level: Entry
Hi all,
I'm on the lookout for a graphic designer to design covers for what will eventually be a range of books on the property market. In essence, I am working alongside one of the UK's most prominent property investors. These books will further promote his work, and help interested parties learn how to make the move into property investment and management.
OK, here's the important part - right now. we're looking for two covers. On book is ready to go, the title of which is 50 TIPS FOR PROPERTY SUCCESS (fairly self-explanatory!), and the second is as-yet-untitled but will revolve around interviews with successful investors that have followed my client's teachings. Before anybody pitches a fit, the budget for this job is not £6 - I'm just leaving it open to proposals.
What I'm asking for is proposals for designs of covers to these two books. There will almost certainly be more books, and thus more covers needed, in the future, but that's for the future. Right now, please send your proposal for two covers - though feel free to quote prices for a couple of options. They will primarily be used on Kindle, so high-res images will be a must. If you have a portfolio that I can have a nose through that will obviously help.
I'm a writer and my artistic ability doesn't stretch beyond drawing a stick man, so I have no idea what is a fair and reasonable rate for this work. To that end, I have popped £6 in as the fixed price to get the job live and to make sure you'll only need one credit to bid. Please send proposals at your usual rate, ideally resisting the urge to add an extra £20 now that I have confessed my ignorance. These books are essentially advertising for my client and are not intended to be massive money-spinners, so this is a one-and-deal payment arrangement. There will not be any room for additional payments in the future based on royalties.
I appreciate that this has been a whole lot of words, but I use this site as a freelancer myself and appreciate just how much spamming of jobs goes on. I'm just trying to sort the wheat from the chaff. To that end, so I know that you have read everything on his ad and I don't end up plowing through countless timewasting applications, please include the word Skyscraper in the opening line of your proposal. Any messages that fail to do this will be deleted on sight. Sorry if this sounds harsh, but we're all busy people and life is too short for tomfoolery. Naturally, sensible questions will be answered in the comments section below or via message in response to your proposals.
Thanks for reading!
