GIF CREATION FOR A COMMERCIAL
This is a gif creation exercise for a costumer, but unfortunately, I didn’t have any drawing skills. Gif should be naïve, not “too much” drawn and it is not necessary 24 o 25 fps. Really, it’s and should be a very simple application. The work is not the quality of the design or painting, but to meet the five conditions explained at the end of the document.
STATEMENT
A company (sorry, no logos it’s a wireframe for now) that manages a water park wants to make a commercial. That is why he requests an animated gif of 2:3 ratio with horizontal format and with the following conditions for the first frame:
1. There must be a swimming pool with a slide and a child sitting on the top of the slide ready for slide down.
2. There should be two identic objects floating in the swimming pool. Both must have vertical symmetry and one of them must be 130% greater than the other.
3. At the bottom right of the gif there should appear a fish with fractal-like scales.
Finally, the gif shows how the child goes sliding down and when he enters on the water, appears a large splash that the whole gif turns blue with water and we didn’t see anything. At this moment, the fish in the foreground draws a speech bubble formed by animals from the seabed, in which it puts: “Veniu al parc, us esperem!?” (literal) The font must be fun. You can create it yourself or search for a fun CC font. The bubble line, considered as an infinite baseboard, should be invariant by revolution.
Note 1. The gif must be done in such a way that the text can be read for 4 seconds. Then it can start over again (loop).
Note 2: The company and my boss wants the gif and a document that details the steps taken with screenshots of the requested objects and the explanations of how you consider that each condition that the company asked for is fulfilled. For example, they want to know the type of font you used in case it is not your own creation, they wants that all dimensions are in the document (they didn't want to calculate by theirselves), and demonstrate that the aspect ratio it gets 2:3, and so on…
Well, the customer wants a detailed report along with the gif to verify that each condition has been satisfied. If they have to do a calculation or check a condition that is not in the statement, the mark of the section will be 0 points.
Note 3: Five conditions to evaluate by the customer
1. First frame of a gif file with a horizontal 2:3 ratio with the following elements: fish, two floating objects, swimming pool, children and slide: 2 points
2. Two exact objects without symmetry (i.e. showing each one part) that one has a 130% magnification with the first one: 2 points
3. Fish scales should contain a fractal design (there is a lot of fractal skins in Google): 2 points.
4. Construction of the gif watching how the child goes slide down and when he touches the water appears a big splash that cover all the frame: 2 points
5. Fun font and baseboard without revolutions: 2 points
