Animated picture for a website

I need a dynamic animate image for a website, to work on a wordpress site.

I want a 'snake' style image that builds and then reveals text blocks as the line grows. I've attached a sketch (I am not an artist) that gives a rough idea, and here is an example (horizontal version).

I'd like the colour of the line to change block by block - please see the link below ('the wave') this is pretty much what I want, just a vertical. The line needs to build, with step 1 drawing part of the line, then the text appears.

These needs to load automatically.
