I will provide all the drawings, measurements and requirements. I think a good engineer could do this in a day or less. If I had a week to learn Fusion 360 I would do it myself.

Before I get into the weeds of HOW it works, the machine's purpose must be clear.
The machine is a filament extruder. It will extrude filament in a new way which has several benefits. It works by working the filament between three worm screws. The benefits are that it can feed even the most difficult filament at faster speeds than the typical method.
One other feature I need to be sure is included is a fully constrained filament path. By this I mean that the filament must be surrounded on all sides in all areas of the machine. Where it enters the worm gears I consider it surrounded by the gears. As soon as it leaves the gears the path should continue till it exits the extruder and enters the hot end. This will make it possible to easily load the extruder and make many problems that often occur with average extruders much less likely to occur with ours.
I have more drawings and photos as well as dimensions of all the major parts of the machine. I even have 3/4 of the parts needed to build the first 66 machines. What I do not have is the skills to design the housing and the gears to make it all work. The worm screws have been designed, and 200 have been manufactured.
I intend to make the housings with 3D printers, so be sure to design parts with 3D printing in mind. I can provide some guidelines, but design for 3D printing is an art.
A NEMA 17 motor drive the system and needs to be mounted on the side.
The Back side of the system is where it mounts to the printer, I will provide a hole pattern for the mount to my current printer. Later I will pay you, or others to change the machine to mount to different printers.
On the bottom of the machine I need a socket to accept the upper part of an E3D V6 hot end. I will measure one and take photos. Both the NEMA 17 motor & the E3D V6 are common items available on the internet.
Info on the worm screw, and bearings to supprt it. The screw is tapered. At the top it is 12mm and on the bottom it is 12.5mm. It has shafts on the top and bottom to accept two bearings. These bearings are 3mm in the center, 8mm on the outside and 4mm high. At the top of the 3 worm screws above the uper bearings is the drive system. This will consist of gears drectly mounted to the worm screw sharts, and they mesh to a single planetary gear, The planetary gear mounts to a larger gear. It is 30mm on the inner diameter, 42 mm on the outside, and 7mm tall. The hardest part will be the planetary gear, which also has a beveled gear on top, which mesches to the gear on the motor. The motor ishaft is 90 degrees to the machine, has a 5mm shaft.
Well that's enough detail I believe. I can clarify any details I've left out of here.

I will consider Solidworks but I have specific reasons for choosing Fusion. Mainly I like the sketch system for allowing easier changes to the design. If all goes well I'll have many versions of this design made so the ability to modify this is important to my long term plans.MD Sobug M.06 Feb 2018
Okay. But, we will get the flexibility of editing the sketches in Solidworks as well. From my point of view, it is more easier in Solidworks.
