Legal topic: Divorce
Description of legal work: I am looking for someone to provide effective advice on how to draft an comprehensive Child Maintenance Agreement (D8A). This is for a friend of mine (petitioner) who is divorcing his wife in the UK.
Some basic info:
1. the couple lives in London and is on talking terms
2. One child, 5 years, currently in Reception class
3. Father is European, mother is Australian
4. Father is the petitioner
What the petitioner thinks would be helpful:
1. initial review of emails between him and his wife (1 conversation)
2. initial call with the petitioner to provide overview & guidance
3. Potentially a face to face meeting - he is willing to travel from London. Skype could be a cost-effective alternative if you are far from London.
4. provide a sample of a previously successful Child Maintenance Agreement
5. The petitioner is happy and able to draft the agreement himself
6. Review the draft D8A agreement
7. Initially, the scope of this proposal for the D8A only.
