Square Point of Sale link to Xero set up

I am helping my stepson sort out his company financials for a Coffee Roasting / Cafe business.

He is using Square as his point of sale system to to process card payments, and Xero as his accounting system.

He set up the link between Square and Xero himself, without any real guidance, and I am not sure he has done things correctly.

I am looking for someone who can review what he has set up, and help me ensure things are properly configured for future transactions.

At the moment Square posts a daily "invoice" into Xero - which seems to show a zero balance.

I don't think this is a big job for someone that is familiar with this system - so no budget set - happy to pay a reasonable amount for this advice.
