Experience Level: Intermediate
I have a small part time business that involves visiting customers homes to carry out different types of surveys on their property, although I have been trading for several months I have held back from marketing myself too much as I'm not entirely happy with the way I have organised the business (especially the admin side).
I have a modest budget which I hope will allow me to review the current set up and make the necessary changes, as there are several skills I would like to use I would suggest that these be carried out in one of the project websites available where files can be uploaded and be viewed by other people who would benefit from them.
I'd like several people to assist me in various tasks, although I doubt I could afford to have all people working on different projects at the same time, if the tasks are done in a methodical order I can begin trading as normal (within 14 days hopefully) which should quite easily fund other projects.
I need people who ideally have experience in the following areas:
Sales/Marketing
Experience in market research, sales strategies etc
Admin
Various report templates, forms etc, I don't really need a typist, someone who is highly skilled in using Word 2007 and can help in setting up a 'portable office' on my laptop would be of much more benefit.
In addition to the above 2 areas I am open to suggestions as to how other skills would benefit, I'd like to limit the amount of people to between 4-8 so as to make sure everyone has a fair chance of undertaking different tasks, and can collaborate with other people involved effectively.
Other areas where I'm sure I could benefit from, but am unlikely to fit all in are:
Business development
Property surveyors
Project managers (perhaps to help in seeing this through within a reasonable budget
Web design/ internet advertising (although I do already have a web site)
Estate agents (as these would be my main clients I could do with an insight)
Database management
Brochure design
I'm not going to set a fixed budget on this as I hope for it to eventually be self funding, although I'd like to help out initially where possible to keep the costs down and allow other people to carry out other projects.
