Description
Experience Level: Expert
General information for the business: We are a licenced tapas bar
Industry: Food and Beverage
Kind of support: Job Advert
Description of support work: Hello,
We are a small tapas bar and restaurant in Northampton UK. we are seeking to recruit an experienced bar manager to run our bar and front of house staff. We have advertised on that.recruit.com already, with limited success.
We am seeking a recruitment professional from PPH to assist us with the search for this person, who can generate further suitable candidates to the relatively slim pickings we have found thus far.
We are offering competitive rates (up to 23k, or hourly up to £9.50), and our hours are favourable compared to a lot of the industry. The candidates must have management experience in licenced hospitality and preferably some cocktail and waiting experience as well.
Here is the advertisement currently running on that.recruit to provide some more background to the role:
"Our client is a lively and well established Tapas bar located in Northampton and they are seeking an experienced person to join their team as bar and Front of House manager.
They are food led, but fully licenced, and you can think of them as somewhere between a pub and a restaurant - as such they will consider applicants with a background in either type of business. They are looking for people with management experience, but will consider anyone with a proven track record of providing great customer in our industry.
Working as the leader of their bar and waiting team, you will be responsible for greeting their guests and making sure they are seated and served to the highest standards of service. You'll be the primary point of contact for (rare) customer concerns and complaints, and you'll also maintain their booking system. To do this you'll take bookings over the telephone and internet (via email and social media). The Front of House/Bar Manager is also responsible for maintaining the bar and soft drinks stock using their purchasing system (very simple to use), and you'll also work with the kitchen and senior management to maintain their great reputation as one of Northampton's best little eateries. Most of all you will be an all round legend, with an aptitude for customer service, who really enjoys meeting loads of interesting people on a day to day basis.
In return they offer a great salary, plenty of paid holiday and the opportunity to expand your responsibilities and experience as the business develops and grows in the future. They also pass on all of tips to their staff - which normally means between £1.50 - £2.00 per hour on top of your wages (paid into your bank with your normal pay).
This position is advertised with hourly rate, however they will consider salaried employment with a minimum of 39 hours per week up to £23k per annum dependent on experience."
