Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
I'm a learning and development professional with 20 years experience wanting to move from middle to senior management.
The trouble is I have confused myself on how to answer questions succinctly. I want 5 definitie answers to competency based questions based on other peoples stories so then i can construct my own answers with confidence.
i know it is my story but any interview coach I have worked with just keeps telling me about frameworks I want to see/hear 5 answers to the following questions so you would have to use some of your experience from own professional life or from answers you have heard.
Tell me about a time you worked with internal and external stakeholders to deliver a new programme/service
Describe a situation where you had to influence stakeholders/clients to agree to your point of view but failed to achieve buy-in, and how you responded?
Describe a time when you leveraged the multiple perspectives of a member of your department/business unit/group? Give me an example of when you did this? How did it work out?
Suppose you were asked by a department to develop and deliver training at very short notice and your work load is already crammed how do you respond?
Tell us about a time you managed a team of training officers who were not very compliant with you regarding the content of the programme what did you do to ensure they delivered organisational excellence in their training programmes

What do you mean by 'succinctly'? As far as you know, are there any character limits or any limits in the number of words that would apply to the answers to the competency questions?
Emily M.19 Jun 2018Rather than succinctly I mean eloquently and detailed enough to pick up the maximum scores without being too long.
