Why we exist
We want to inspire a generation of children to become the very best they can be through their relationships, their well-being and their own sense of purpose.

Roles & responsibilities
We are running a range of residential and non-residential Life Skills Courses for 8-12 year olds over the Summer holidays and are looking for a part-time (3 days / week with some flexibility) from ASAP until August 15th to help manage the preparation for those courses to ensure they run like clockwork. The key courses you will be focusing on are listed at the bottom of this job spec but you will be expected to help with others.
The courses focus on helping children to present themselves effectively and react positively to pressure. It will teach children to value collaboration and imagination and to develop a positive and robust approach to setbacks. The afternoons include activities such as high ropes exercises, scouts training, orienteering and Dragon Boat racing.
This opportunity will suit someone who is a proactive, self-starter with the ability to think on their feet. You must be an extremely organised, diligent “doer” who has a passion for delivering high quality results.
Working mostly by yourself but with support from the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring all aspects of the courses are in place, including but not limited to:
- Meticulously planning the course timetable with activities, transport, staffing etc all scheduled.
- Running the course training day on July 20th to ensure staff fully understand how the course will run.
- Regularly updating our Chinese Partner, Qin Li, and the Role Models Managing Director, Hugo Shephard on progress.
- Ensuring the relevant policies, insurance and other important documents are all in place.
Minimum criteria
- You must have experience of managing complex projects or events with demanding clients.
- You must be available from July 28th – August 11th to stay onsite at one of the residential venues listed below (potentially moving between the two). You won’t be accompanying the team to Istanbul.
- You must be available on Friday July 20th for the mandatory training day.
- You must be available to spend at least one of your three days / week in our offices in Battersea, SW11 5EN. The rest of the time you can work from home.
- You must be 18 years of age or older.
- You must be an EEA citizen or have the right to work in the UK.
- You must have an enhanced DBS certificate (previously called a CRB) valid within the last 3 years. If you do not, you must be willing to apply for one at a cost of approximately £58 if successful at interview stage.
