Description
Experience Level: Entry
You will be assisting me to find successful planning applications which involved the demolition of between 1-4 properties and building a larger development. These applications will have to be accepted or granted permission within the past 24 months.
Below is an example of what you will be looking for:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Registration Date: 27/05/2008
Ward Name: Edgware
Conservation Area: Not available
Location: 2 BROADFIELDS AVENUE, EDGWARE, MIDDX, HA8 8PG
Statutory Class: Not available
Proposal: Demolition of existing house and erection of new detached
block of 5 flats (Outline application for access and scale).
Case Officer: Graham Robinson
Decision: Approve with conditions
Appeal Received Date: This case has no appeals against it
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Different Council websites don’t tend to look/operate in exactly the same way but the steps you would take to find this information is generally the same.
I found this piece of information using the following steps:
• I visited www.google.com
• I ran a search for “Barnet Planning Applications.
• This lead me to http://www.barnet.gov.uk/online-services/planning-applications.htm
• I clicked the link that said “View -planning application and appeals details”
• This took me to http://planningcases.barnet.gov.uk/planning-cases/acolnetcgi.exe
• I scrolled down the page and selected the link that says “More search options”
• On the Drop down Menu that says Ward I selected Edgware
• Boxes that said “Decision date From” & “Decision Date to” I ran searches between 2007 & 2009
• I then searched through all of the decisions and pasted all of the suitable application details onto a word document.
On this particular council I found 7 applications that were suitable for use.
We will be paying based on results we will pay £10 for each application you find that is useable.
We will pay £1000 for any applications that lead to us putting together successful development projects.
We will provide you with a list of councils to research. As each council website varies we are not able to provide instructions on how to run searches for each one so we are looking for people that can use their initiative.
You will be expected to provide details of application/decision dates & application numbers.
