Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
We would like your help to research and record some basic information using the internet.
The overall objective is to gather the most up-to-date information on heavy-duty market segment information related to class 6-8 trucks and equipment in North America (US, Canada and Mexico)..
This should include heavy-duty off-road vehicles and stationary units such as power generators and compressors).
For each of the following market segments, we need you to identify and record the heavy-duty vehicles and equipment used in each segment and sub-segment and a description of their application. The segments are as follows:
• Agriculture
• Demolition & Scrap Recycling
• Forestry
• General Construction
• Government / Defence
• Heavy Construction
• Oil & Gas & Drilling Services
• Construction Residential
• Landscaping (6-litre engines and upwards)
• Marine
• Mining
• Rental equipment
In each segment, there can be typically up to 100 sub-segments. We need information on the ten largest sub-segments for each, i.e. 120 sub-segments in total.
Using the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) list, we can steer you in the right direction to gather this information and identify the sub-segments to concentrate on. We would also provide a spreadsheet with relevant section headings for you to populate.
To start the project, we would like the ‘Agriculture’ segment information completed by Monday 30th April and the remaining segments by Friday 4th May.
Although a straight forward job, this would suit someone adept at researching information on the internet, thinking things through and coming up with alternative ways to search. So please tell us about your experience in your reply.
