In this data form that has been completed. My teacher gave us the wrong information and now I must go back and redo my chi test etc. to get a new Chi value, df, and p value. I don’t have time for this assignment. The df is suppose to be 6 and the major difference is that the values for the blank category should make the female column sum to 47 and males to 45. You should include blanks but you need to still replace 0s for the 2 chronic illness categories for females. What I mean below is that females with copd and arthritis are blank cells in the pivot table. These cells need to be 0.
This is what my teacher said:
"In my advice and example for calculating Chi square, I told you that you should not include the blanks. I was incorrect when I told you to do so. You do need to include the blanks to represent individuals with no chronic illness. In order to get values for the blank cells (those who did not report a chronic illness) you need to place id in the values box in the pivot table. If you do so you will see that there were 31 women and 9 men who did not report an illness. You will still need to insert zeros for the blank arthritis and COPD cells for women. Once you have done so, calculate your expected values based on these observed values.”
I also need the narrative redone to reflect the changes in the dataset.
