Description
Experience Level: Expert
General information for the business: We Provide product rich ( via xml feeds) websites and 'deals' software for Independent Travel Agents
Industry: Internet/Software
Kind of support: Software
Description of support work: We sell bespoke unique software that hosts product from travel tour operators ( providers) and deals software. Our deals software is proprietary as is our 'product database' and we deliver these on a B2B basis to Independent Travel Agents in the UK.
We require a Project Manager to handle the project delivery and 'go live' of each new site we win. The role involves:
1. Liaising with our allocated designer to deliver the design of the website once the web design questionnaire is completed ( our sales team will provide a full brief)
2. Setting the project up on our PM software ( Mavenlink) and liaising with development team to obtain timings to get the site on a development server space
3. Set the client up with the relevant settings for delivery of product to the website ( CMS side settings)
4. Liaising with the client as regards unique content they must write to add to the site in order to go live
5. Adding agreed content ( about us | Meet the team etc.) to the site
6. Agreeing Go Live Date with client and ensuring that the site is live by said date
7. Testing the site ( Contact forms etc.) and ensuring works with the client
8. Final 1 hour webinar with the client remotely to train the client on client side CMS
The role involves liaising by phone and email with UK based clients ( most are small businesses with limited technical knowhow so you will need to be able to speak in a 'non techy' way without being patronising). The role also involves liaison with development team so an understanding of Wordpress ( websites) and PhP ( late offers software ) is essential. Must be a fluent English Speaker and keep UK work hours.
See www.net-effect.co.uk for more information and examples of work/websites.
Extra notes: Initially we expect the PM on any site to be achievable within 6 - 12 hours as design and development already in place depending on the project. We support our clients through a Support System and so there is an opportunity once you have learned out software to gain recurring work manning our helpdesk and responding to clients.
Work remotely and to your own daily timings except some client liaison by phone will need to take place in the normal working week and the final training session within normal work hours.
We will expect you to keep a log of hours and although each project is different, with planning most will come in around the same workload and will take the same time. We will pay the fixed fee per project ( helps with our budgeting) but will review ongoing any other input/work and remuneration accordingly.
