We are currently recruiting for a first line technical support analyst / field engineer in the Newport, South Wales area.
You will be working as a First Line Support Engineer and will be first point of contact on the service desk providing technical support, answering support queries via telephone, email, remotely and customer facing on-site.
A Professional telephone conduct and good writing skills are essential.
This role requires experience in deploying and supporting Microsoft Office Suites as well as excellent hardware knowledge, (PC and Server) set-up and configuration. The ideal candidate will be a customer focused, well organised, enthusiastic individual who will provide helpdesk support to external customers, assisting them with hardware and software problems.
You will be troubleshooting, installing, maintaining and supporting a wide range of IT systems, typically for 10-2000 users.
Key experience required: Proficient in Microsoft Operating systems, including Desktop O/S 7 - Windows 10; Some understanding/exposure of Windows Server 2008 – 2012 R2, including SBS Server would be highly advantageous: Awareness of Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint are desirable; Experience working with remote support tools; Proven knowledge on how to administer Active Directory, understanding of Group Policy, DNS and Microsoft Exchange; Understanding of Networking Protocols and TCP/IP fundamentals; Any ITIL, Microsoft, Cisco and Apple qualifications would be beneficial; Clean driving licence and use of your own car.
This position requires your attendance in the office and CANNOT be completed remotely
