SPSS data analysis for survey outcomes (51 respondents)

I need help with a school project.
I have conducted a survey and received answers from 51 respondents. I am struggling now to analyse the data, I think due to the fact that many of the outcomes are registered as string outcomes rather than numeric. I therefore can not choose scale variables and conduct e.g. correlation analysis.
What I need help with is to get my data set ready to start analysis (since I need to conduct correlation and regression analysis and I want to check my cronbach alpha) in order to answer three research questions.
I would be happy to hear if someone can help me (preferably on a short-term notice e.g. this weekend).
