Hi Meri, I would like help to write a business plan, please.
I need to present a plan to the owners/directors of a sheltered housing association which have, as part of one of their properties, a cafe/restaurant facility available to rent. Part of the deal is to provide a hot meal per day to the residents and in return I would be able to use the professional kitchen as a base to do other things from, such as takeaway food, outside catering as examples. So, i guess there are two I would like to win that contract!
I have attached a copy of the Sales particulars if that helps. I have no idea what information you need from me so i will provide a little about me and my background.
Professional chef by trade with a wealth of different styles of catering and have been self employed for a number of years. I would be a hands on owner/operator.
The Residents
I'd provide a choice of daily hot meals nutritionally balanced using NHS guidelines. I'd like to speak to the residents to ask their opinions as to what they would like to see and create a revolving menu that covers those suggestions. I'd open up the facility to create a cafe atmosphere offering light snacks and daily specials and throw open the doors to the wider public and encourage them to use the facilities.
I'd like to investigate providing some limited fresh food offering to the residents (on a weekly basis) where they can come a purchase things like fresh seasonal fruit and veg, selections of fresh meats and fish - to take back to their residences to cook should they not want to he facilities I would provide. This would be in conjunction with local producers/growers.
Meri - This next one is an area I'd like to concentrate on....
Outside catering - I'd like to be able to use the facilities as a base to use for outside catering, providing corporate lunches, lunch buffets, packed lunches etc to the many finance houses. The kitchen has some state of the art ovens that can be used for banquet catering (on a small scale) so perhaps the dining room can be used for private events?
I've run out of ideas at the moment - is this something you can help me with please?
