Description
Experience Level: Expert
Sage Expert -£25 - £30 per hour Bristol (Hanham Area) 10 hours guaranteed further 10+ hours possible to follow.
We are a recruitment company based in Central London and our payroll is managed in London. However, the bookkeeping aspect of our Finance is managed by two members of staff who mostly work from home in Bristol.
From 1st June 2010 all our bookkeeping will be moved to use Sage Instant Accounts to encompass all transactions. Although a multi-million turnover company, a lot of the entries relate to contractor payments so are very repetitive/straight forward.
Both staff have received some basic Sage training, and are aware of double entry bookkeeping. What we now require is an individual with very good knowledge of Sage, who will be able to provide a knowledge-gap fill on how best to use the software in relation to our specific requirements.
Further broad-brush Sage training would not provide them with the targeted assistance we need to get the best from Sage and therefore we seek to appoint a knowledgeable individual for this specific project.
Responsibilities will include overseeing/assisting with the transfer of all Sage data (clients/products etc) from an older version of Instant Accounts to version 14 and the accurate installation of a suspense account at the companys yearend ready for input to begin on the 1st June 2010. There will also be questions from the staff relating to the specific application of the system in terms of ADA, VAT, posting credit notes etc.
We guarantee an initial 10 hours for this project, ideally spread over two 5-hour sessions, but we are flexible on when you can attend. The first 1 -2 hours will focus upon you understanding our requirements and then delivering a plan to ensure the systems are in place. We would like you to be available for these initial hours from Mid-May.
It is likely that further handholding will be required and further hours will be agreed subsequent to the completion of the initial 10 hours.
