Hello,
I became a freelancer on the 6th April 2014 and have never worked for myself before so the tax submission is all new to me and therefore I definitely need assistance from a professional accountant.
I’m fairly meticulous when it comes to receipts and have excel sheets which document my incomings and outgoings. I record everything and I understand that there will be items that I can and/or cannot claim for thus the reason I need a professional.
A lot of the work will be done in advance so there will be no need for you to trawl through receipts and record expenses. I would rather you spent your time doing the 'calculating'.
What I am looking for;
• A registered accountant
• Although my tax submission does not be need to be made until Jan 2016 I would like to get Apr 14-April 15 accounts closed so I have a good idea of what I need to pay.
• An accountant who is well versed on the areas that ‘non accountants’ (like me) would be oblivious to e.g claiming against items that are believed to be non-business expenses but in fact they are.
• Advice, guidance and tips on the “do’s and don’ts”
My plan is to have this completed by mid September. If this works out well then I shall be using your services on an annual basis.
