Experience Level: Intermediate
I run a successful accountancy practice, sole proprietor, but due to workload I am looking for an accounts assistant on a subcontract basis to work on an adhoc basis.

The ideal individual should be available to work between 7-15 hours a week to begin with, but possibly more in future. They need to be able to sort client records, create working papers using Excel including bank reconciliations, debtors & prepayments, loan accounts, cashbook, etc. Create a trial balance and then write up a draft set of accounts. I will then review your schedules and post figures directly onto the system.

I propose to give you about 2-3 jobs a week. Obviously, you will be self employed so the hours can be worked around your own schedule, but if a job is given to you in one week, I expect it back by the end of the next week (unless info is missing)

Prefer someone who can pick the records up and work within their own premises, but I could find space to work in my office if needed.

Please quote me an hourly rate that you would charge fully inclusive of all expenses.
