Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: Ongoing
We are seeking an experienced, dedicated and accredited accountant to work for us on an ongoing basis. We are in the process of forming our organisation with Companies House as a Private Limited Company by guarantee without share capital use with 'Limited' exemption.
Founded in 2017, we are a membership organisation wanting to be at the heart of the movement for fundamental rights and freedoms within the criminal justice system in England and Wales.
We will promote the values of individual human dignity, equal treatment, and fairness as the foundations of a democratic fair, humane criminal justice system.
We will be entirely independent. We’re not and will not be affiliated with any political party and will receive no Government funding – which means we’re free to fearlessly and robustly criticise Government policy and truly hold the powerful to account. We promote the values of equality, dignity, fairness, and accountability in all that we do.
What we will do
We will campaign to protect basic rights and freedoms through the justice system, courts, in parliament and in the wider community. We will do this through a combination of public campaigning, case litigation, parliamentary work, policy analysis and the provision of free advice and information to the public.
To confirm the initial work brief will include the following:-
1. Registering the organisation for VAT with HMRC
2. Registering the organisation with HMRC to be recognised as a non-profit
3. Providing a quotation for ongoing work such as VAT Returns, Annual Accounts etc.
We would be keen to work with someone on an ongoing basis who can complete all our accountancy work as and when required in a consultancy capacity.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Warmest Regards
