In my desire to progress my work I wrote a "Homework Assignment" to solicit a "student" to think through my wants and make suggestions. i noted your interest in my earlier project and am coming back to you because your skill set seems right for my needs. Please consider this "Homework" and reply as you can:

Homework Assignment/Scenario:

Your client is a lawyer practicing prison law in the State of Florida, USA. He wants a system made to automatically create a file folder for each person in the Florida Department of Corrections (FDOC). Some of those persons are actually incarcerated in Florida prisons. Others are out but are being supervised on probation or a house arrest (called community control). There are approximately 100,000 prisoners in Florida prisons and many more on supervised release. Fortunately the FDOC maintains a MS Access database that is updated monthly. It seems likely that by formulating various queries this lawyer should be able to generate a folder for all such persons. The database is located at http://www.dc.state.fl.us/pub/obis_request.html
The details of all such persons including their names, their FDOC tracking/identification numbers, the details of their cases (called their current prison sentence histories) and addresses of the places they are living exist in either a facility directory or a verified address exists. These addresses must be parsed and assembled but this too seems to be fairly easy because each person has created by FDOC a Prisoner Information Detail Record. A copy for a person in a prison named Michael Hernandez is attached. Persons on supervised release have a similar record but this record shows a verified address outside of prison where they are living. These details give the persons name, race, gender, ID numbers, current prison facility (for those who are in prison facilities). Mr. Hernandez is housed in a prison (see current prison facility) while again other persons a verified address is shown (for those who are not in prison but who are on supervised release).

The lawyer wants you to create a system and process to gather the necessary information from the database and from a facility directory or from verified addresses: See http://www.dc.state.fl.us/org/facilitydir.html, generate a folder for each person, then parse and scrape additional info for the purposes of creating about 10 basic forms. One such form is attached.

Explain how you would go about creating such a system and give the detailed steps you would take to accomplish this. What platforms would you use? How long do you think this would take? How much do you think this would cost using Fiverr and your gig prices as the basis for this work? What would the lawyer need to do to assist you in such a job? What problems if any do you anticipate?
