Description
This is a long term job for a website that offer mail forwarding service. I have a list of clients who travel a lot and need someone to receive letters on their behalf and forward it to them. Here are the steps you would do in a typical working day:
Step 1: users will forward their mail to your address and include their ID at the bottom of the address.
Step 2: You put the letter in an envelope and add their forwarding address. (I will provide the forwarding address)
Step 3: You add one of those 1st class stamps on the letter. (I will give you the money for the envelopes and stamps before all of this)
Step 4: You throw it in one of those red mail boxes or over the counter at a local post office. (All post office costs will be paid a long with your time) Preferrably mail them on the same day or next day latest. You'll just go once per day (max) to the post office/mail box. It will be easier if you live near a post office. You could probably post them once you go out for a daily walk or something.
OTHER INFO:
- The whole process doesn't take more than 1 hour per day. (Depends how far you live from post office/post box)
- Sometimes it will be a parcel and sometimes you'll have to mail the letter/parcel abroad. Either way, you will be compensated for your time and the costs. (Note that postage charges will be paid in advance so you'll be given a certain amount of money to use to pay for postage instead of paying from your own money and then getting compensated)
- You may not get mail on a daily basis.
- No skills required. Just an address. Necessary guidance will be provided.
- Your address will NOT be shared publicly. Your address will only be shared with clients who will use your address as a correspondence address.
If successful you will be given login details for the site where you can manage clients etc.
APPLYING
Let me know how much you will charge per hour. (postage costs will be paid in advance)
Start your application with "I HAVE A UK ADDRESS" so I know that you've read this.

Can you please supply your website that you mention so freelancers can confirm you are genuine.
If your customers travel a lot and you want freelancers to send the items to them why don't they just have it sent to them directly?
I don't see the need to involve anyone else?
Is this yet another delivery scam?Zak M.19 Feb 2017the site is mail-ghost.com
There are several reasons customers will want their mail to go through us:
1. They don't want to keep updating their address with senders whenever they move. Senders could be newsletters, bank letters etc. So they'd rather just have a fixed address with assistants that handle it all.
2. They don't want to give out their real address to clients. Businesses and freelancers tend to use it for this reason.
3. Businesses that operate overseas. Instead of them shipping their products seperately to their customers. They'll send a box with seperate mini parcel or letters that we then forward to each customers. Businesses do this either because it's cheaper or because their customers want it to appear that they have a UK address.
4. Finally, some people don't really "need" it at all. It's just a luxury for them to have someone process their mail for them.
Hope that answers your questions -
How do freelancers know that the letters/parcels do not contain any illegal material?
Why are the letters/parcels not just sent to the customer address?
I ask as there have been lots of Scams on this and other sites involving onward delivery items.Zak M.19 Feb 20171. Well you don't. Unless you can smell and feel it from the packaging. The business has been running since 2014 and we haven't had any issues yet. If there are any illegal substances then it will probably be caught before it arrives to us. Of course, there is always the chance of it going through undetected.
2. Please see answer above.
Sorry for the late reply.
