Description
Experience Level: Expert
An opportunity for teachers and tutors with experience in their field to design a scheme of work for a 6 month after school teaching program. If you would like to earn extra money using the skills and expertise you use every day as a teacher or tutor, get in touch and email
Requirements:
A qualified teacher working in a school in England (state or independent) with at least 2 years’ experience. At least 2:1 degree in the chosen field (ie English and Education at Undergraduate or English BA followed by PGCE)
And/Or
A private tutor with at least 1 year’s experience (with a minimum 2:1 degree in their subject) who can provide a reference from a satisfied student/parent or tuition agency.
Subjects and levels covered:
Key Stage 1, 2 , 3, and GCSE in English, Maths and Science
The task: produce a scheme of work for a 6 month tuition program. Each child has one lesson per week in each subject, and the lessons are 45 minutes long. We require one scheme of work per key stage group in each subject. The students tend to be of average attainment with poor to average concentration and study skills, and the aim of the tuition is to boost their proficiency in the basic skills subjects. On a week-by-week basis, the scheme of work should cover the core areas of the subject in depth and allow for cumulative progression. Classes are taught in groups of up to 10.
Salary: £60-80 per scheme of work produced, depending on level and teacher expertise
