Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: 1 - 6 months
My business helps designers find manufacturers to make their products in the UK.
Next June I am putting on a 2 day event in London and I need some seriously good admin support to help with the administration of the event.
If you are organised and accurate and confident with CRM systems and social media then you could be just the person that I'm looking for. If you've had experience of working on events before then even better.
I am willing to be very flexible about hours and location of work, however you MUST be based in the UK due to the nature of my business.
This role would best suit someone that was able to commit at least 15 hours a week from January 2014 and increase those hours as the event approaches in June. Whilst most of the work could be done remotely I would need you to be available in London for the week of the event (9th-13th June 2014) to assist with the running of it.
I am based in Surrey, so ideally this role would suit someone that was also based down South, although this is not essential.
Typical tasks that you would be required to do:
- Management of exhibitor and visitor data on CRM system
- Responding to enquiries from exhibitors, visitors and press about the event, either by email or telephone
- Management of content on event website (Wordpress), including cropping and uploading of images.
- Assistance with marketing the event, including sending and monitoring of email (Mailchimp) and social media (Twitter, Facebook and Linked in) campaigns.
- Liaising with conference speakers in advance of the event, and management of speakers on the day.
If you have an interest in fashion or manufacturing, then this role would be of particular interest to you, with the possibility of making some great contacts within the industry.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, and if you have any questions please send me a message.
**Update**
I am getting quite a few of the same questions from potential candidates so i will answer then here...
- the current CRM used is Zoho but i will be swapping over to Salesforce so anyone with experience with the system, and particularly in migrating contacts would be useful
- For communication and workflow I use Podio to assign tasks and so that everyone working on the project can see what is happening when and who is responsible for what
- Work will mainly be done remotely but on occassion you would be required to come to London for meetings with myself and the ops company. Travel expenses would be covered.
- Invoices are sent using software called Kasflow. Very simple to use, experience of any invoicing software would be useful
- Logistics for the event, such as AV, site build, liaising with venue and catering will be done by a seperate ops company
