Estimated project duration: 1 - 6 months
We are looking for great talent Payroll Clark for 3-6 months Contract role, for future opportunities. This is to help us proactively identify potential candidates for future openings.
Responsibilities Include:
Proven experience as payroll manager or similar role.
Current knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws.
Process payroll using ADP Payforce
Implement Workday solution to facilitate payroll processing
Excellent understanding of multistate payroll and taxes for salary and hourly employees.
Process Canada payroll
Ensure effectiveness of payroll internal controls in compliance with SOX requirements
Drive improvement of payroll procedures and processes
Drive compliance with various legal requirements including wage garnishments etc
Administer Terminations per state regulations
Calculate bonus payments, PTO, missed hours, including severance payouts
Manage for 401K audit–Compile documentation and requested reports
Process RSUs and Stock Options
Implementation (Multi-state reporting) if any
Reconcile payroll reports for the general ledger entries
Manage benefit information and ensure payroll system is updated
Yearend processing and issuance of W2’s
Closed and balanced the A/P and Payroll accounting systems.
Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy
Experienced in managing the payroll function
Solid understanding of accounting payroll
Qualifications
1-2 years of Payroll experience; managing payroll for minimum 500+ employees
College Degree
Knowledge of ADP Payforce and Workday system preferred
Knowledge of Oracle AP Module preferred but not required
Strong work ethics
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
Ability to work with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, and financial chart of accounts
Strong problem solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills
Organizational and leadership skills
Outstanding communication skills (written and oral)
Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
An analytical mind and good math skills
