Description
Experience Level: Expert
I have 176 JSON files which need to be converted into interactive forms – we are using a custom built web app to do this however, it is fairly straightforward to use but it is just a tedious and time consuming process which is my reason for outsourcing it.
This is essentially a data entry task but requires good technical aptitude and command of the English language.
You must use Chrome browser to do this (web app is only tested using Chrome).
The steps are as follows (these may not all be clear right now, but provide a general overview of the steps needed) –
1) Click “load” next to file name in list
2) Click “Show/Refresh” to show preview in right hand side
3) Re-arrange text fields in left hand panel to match arrangement on right (can be dragged and dropped)
4) Rename text fields in left hand panels to more descriptive names
5) Use “Toggle shading” button and click and drag shaded area in preview to resize text region appropriately (bearing in mind that these areas will be filled with customer inputted text, so in general the largest available area should be used)
6) Make sure “Wrap text” is ticked for text regions that span more than 1 line
7) Click “Convert to form” – check all looks OK – click “Save form settings”
8) Blank web font files will download – use Google to search for and download the required web fonts, and re-write blank *.css files appropriately.
I will provide a more complete guide to the successful applicant – in the meantime I will also try to streamline the process as much as possible.
I estimate it should take a couple of minutes per form – so depending how quickly and efficiently the successful applicant works, it should take between 1 and 2 days to complete.
