Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: less than 1 week
I am looking for someone to help me copy the content from an existing website to a new one.
The original website is a private QMS (Quality Management System) that contains a collection of web pages and document files to do with company policies and procedures for a small housing association.
The QMS is being replaced by a private section (which they are calling their 'Intranet') on a new Wordpress based website.
The QMS has no export function so I am looking for someone to copy the content from all the webpages into individual posts on the new Wordpress website.
There are 85 pages in total and they will all need copying individually to new posts (within a custom post type) and categorising as per the original QMS.
Most of the pages feature a set of links at the top of the page to anchors within page content. These will also need copying across and will need to function correctly on the Wordpress pages.
None of the pages contain images but some do contain html tables.
Document files do not need to be transferred - we will be taking care of this.
I am looking for someone with the following skills:
- Good knowledge of using Wordpress - creating posts, managing categories, adding data to custom fields, creating links, basic text styling
- Good knowledge of basic html - creating links, creating anchors, managing tables, fixing basic page errors (copying source code from the original QMS site may speed up the process quite a bit)
We are a small design agency in the UK, and this is part of a website rebuild project for one of our charity clients.
The data you will be handling is private and copyrighted property of our client.
You will be granted temporary access to both systems for the duration of the project.
