Description

Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: 1 day or less
I have a spreadsheet of 1,057 companies which I would like to show the following:
1. identify which ones are publicly listed companies and which ones are not - this will require you to source this information externally via a web search
2. provide the Bloomberg symbols for all the listed companies e.g. for Adidas the symbol is ADS:GR
The symbols can be sourced from https://www.bloomberg.com/markets/symbolsearch/

I estimate approximately 30% of the companies in the spreadsheet will be publicly listed and therefore have a Bloomberg Code

James, by 'publicly listed' you mean simply if they are listed on , e.g. a Google search? Or does it mean something entailing a more 'legal' sense?
