Especially if you\u2019re trying to build something sustainable, not just survive month to month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-problem-isn-t-your-talent\">The Problem Isn\u2019t Your Talent<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Let\u2019s say you\u2019re a new freelancer and you absolutely love watching local bands. You decide your niche is going to be managing social media for locals bands and local venues. On paper, it sounds perfect. There\u2019s a clear need. Many bands or venues struggle with marketing and visibility. You care deeply about the cause. It feels aligned with your values. But before you commit, there\u2019s a crucial question you need to ask:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Why is there a gap in the market?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Often, the answer isn\u2019t \u201cno one\u2019s thought of this before.\u201d<br><br>It\u2019s \u201cthey don\u2019t have the budget.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Local bands and venues are usually underfunded.
