brexit joy for freelancers in May

Brexit relief for UK freelancers this May

We know the words “May” and “Brexit” don’t normally come with good news...but we‘re ready to change that!

After hearing in our Brexit survey that 91% of UK freelancers are unsatisfied with the government’s handling of the process, we’ve decided to bring a little Brexit joy in May.

With 43% of freelancers saying that they have already experienced a negative impact to their business from Brexit, we’re offering our support by adding 50 extra proposal credits this month to all UK freelancers’ accounts (in addition to the standard 15 free credits). All UK-based accounts will automatically be credited so there’s no need for you to do anything, other than bid on projects!

Did you know that we currently have more than 7000 live projects on the platform for our freelancers to bid on? Our buyers are looking for everything from social media managers to screenwriters, cartoonists to coders, video editors to voiceover artists, packaging designers to proofreaders…  you get the picture.

So what are you waiting for? Happy bidding!

Giving priority only to the UK freelancer is not way an ethical business should work, all freelancer are valuable from any country

Libby

Thanks for your comment, Raquib. We’ve decided to take this action after our recent survey found that many of the UK freelancers on our platform had suffered a negative impact since Brexit. At PeoplePerHour, we’re keen to provide benefits for all of our freelancers, that’s why we’ll be providing similar promotions in the future for other communities going through uncertain times.

I think it’s worth remembering that this affects British freelancers working in other EU countries just as much…

Hi Sabbir, we welcome your comments. We will certainly be providing similar promotions and support to other communities in the future.

Every client prefers UK developers and they get jobs easily comparatively to non UK developers. By giving extra 50 bids to them, others will suffer more.

Hi Muhammad, thanks for your comment. As the UK has hit hugely uncertain times and many freelancers are suffering because of it (43% of freelancers saying that they have already experienced a negative impact to their business from Brexit) then we are keen to support them in this small way. We will certainly be doing the same for other communities in the future.

Will the credits roll over into next month if we don’t use them all this month?

Cheers.

Hi Tom, unfortunately not. They will expire just like normal credits at the end of the month.

So are these being added on the 1st of June? Because, if they were supposed to be added this month, I never got mine.

I welcome this move and feel sorry for the people from outside who are also asking for credit I think all should understand PPH care for all. The decision was for negatively effected UK freelancers.
