New Profiles and Job Listings

Hi all

today we launched 2 important Seller pages: revamped, redesigned, mobile friendly and more in synch with our new style.

1. Profiles:

We also added the option to have a cover image on top to make profiles more visual and nice to look at. You can add yours from Edit Profile page. We strongly suggest to add a cover image so that you make your profile more appealing to buyers and stand out from competition !

2. Job Listings:

Dear PPH,

Thank you so much for this update! Everything is great!

I noticed one small bag. On my profile page all customers feedbacks show as given from the same city as I 🙂 So they do not depict from where their owners really are.

Slava

It is cool. Thanks. But from yesterday I experienced the following issues. On my 8.3 inch tablet and portrait mode: 1. I can’t see jobs’ post time (3 hours ago for example). 2. Can’t see number of proposals. 3. You can’t jump to page 1 of job lists and you have to rotate the display to make it visible and click on “1”. And in landscape mode, number of proposals is not visible again. These are really important and they used to be there in both views before this update. Another major bug is: on our profiles, the country of… Read more »

The jobs board isn’t working. When you click on any job type, ‘writing’ for example, an error comes up:

“Oh! Maybe Buyers haven’t thought of this!
Post an Hourlie to educate them”

thank you everyone for reaching out. @Vyacheslav this is now fixed , @Shell have you applied any other filters at the same time ? Could you send a screenshot if possible ?

Hi There Christos,

Thanks for getting back to me.

It’s actually happening for the ‘saved searches’ feature, so not sure how many people use this rather than selecting the category.

I’ve deleted them and resaved them and they’re now working fine.

Thanks!

The new look is great but, to be honest, it would be better if the “Search jobs” section could be in the right side, not in the left.

What I like the most, is that now I can re-arrange my portfolio items! On old website I had to remove all entries and upload again 🙂 Thanks and keep this feature please!!

Hello PPH

This is great.

Only problem that I’ve come across is now unable to ’embed from other sites’ in portfolio section of profile. (Youtube video) It says Please Wait and then reverts back to Embed Content.

Hope this gets fixed soon.

Looks great, but I think the header takes up too much space. Add an option to half it’s height?

Wow, PPH is really doing great to enhance look and feel of the overall system.
In past couple of months, the whole website has changed! The only thing that bug me is the problem with responsiveness of the site, as it does create problem sometimes. If you can fix that, that would be great 🙂

Great work PPH

Cheers,
Hamza

Design looks good, but dont know how it will help the freelancer. Since CERT is moved to the right and its size is smaller than the last design. So client may focus on the cover image more than CERT. Lets see…

Very nice PPH. You guys seem to have struck a balance between cosmetic tweaks and meeting the buyer/seller needs. It’s a reassuring rate of change, so keep up the good work! Glad to be on board.

Looks great but what I’d like to see is a greater effort put into removing scam job postings quicker. PPH needs to be an environment that you rfreelancers can feel safer when using. Scammers are rife on here at the moment.

Well nice try but I’m afraid there is a lot of things need to be fixed. Hourly and portfolio picture both get cropped in thumbnail, and doesn’t represent the actual design. Also image should get fit a standard scaling ration 16:9 or 16:10 New responsive mobile view portfolio looks OK on keeping fixed on portfolio, but 100% fit image will look much better with auto height. A lot empty spacing in there like http://i.imgur.com/6hGsVTY.png Most important thing is hourly is just getting horrible look using width:100%; with using max-height :195px; problem is spotted in the picture. http://i.imgur.com/hI21GO9.png Please remove the… Read more »

tried over eight times so far to upload a cover image, the advice when you click the question mark in the blue circle says minimum 1600 x 500, so I tried that, no luck, only half visible on my full sized monitor was a red instruction box, but as only half the text was visible, and no measurements, i was unable to suss out what to do. a google search said that the People Per Hour banner needed to be exactly 1000 by 260, so i tried that, no luck, I tried small files, large files, nothing, Got really bored… Read more »
