Have Your Voice Heard

With the month of September and the beginning of a new season dangerously approaching, PeoplePerHour has already began drafting up ideas on a new survey. The purpose of our new survey, as in the case of all previous ones, is to address the issues that relate to our users in particular, and to shine light on certain aspects of the Small Business economy which mistakenly tend to remain hidden.

No doubt it has been a hectic year, to say the least. What with the change in government and the new austerity measures imposed by the government in an attempt to pull Britain out of recession, we are certain that your opinions will vary from panic-stricken to the verge of jumping off the 6th floor balcony of your office to very optimistic and hopeful (or at least let’s just say you’ve put off your daily routine of mourning for the time being).

Whatever the case, we’d love to hear from you on what issues you would like us to address in our next survey. Ideas on specific questions you would like to be posed, or the kind of topics you are generally interested in finding out about would be most welcome. Don’t forget, this is your chance to have your voice heard. Small business, big voice!

No designer/developer will work for a fixed fee of £100, especially when that clients wants a database linking to a front end portal with flash and high quality graphics that filters out this and sends people there… it is not likely to happen.

PPH needs to act on this issue before it loses all its clients.


I agree with Richard Bland. There are some unrealistic budgets being submitted by clients. For example: $30 for a logo and unlimited revisions, some people want to see mock-ups before even being chosen.
This devalues our industry, I’m from Australia and just can’t compete with these budgets. It would be the same from other Western countries.
We just want fair budgets, if PPH increases the minimum bid the client will get better quality.
If PPH only wants designers from certain countries, it is heading on the right path.
