PeoplePerHour.com on Companies House

Today's report that World-Check and Datanomic found nearly 4000 terrorists, financial criminals and disqualified directors in the UK's Companies House Register (plus another 27,000 suspects) has led PeoplePerHour.com to call for Companies House to put its house in order.

PeoplePerHour.com are the leading online skills marketplace provider that matches up small-to-medium sized businesses needing work done with freelance providers based both here in the UK and globally.

PeoplePerHour.com CEO, Xenios Thrasyvoulou says, "Small businesses, freelancers and solo traders can't afford to make specialist security checks on everyone they deal with. They should be able to rely on companies and directors listed at Companies House being, at the very least, not disqualified by their own system."

At least, companies and freelancers working through PeoplePerHour.com are unlikely to suffer financially if they encounter one of these crooks. PeoplePerHour.com removes the usual credit risk of doing business by using a unique Escrow system to intermediate payment between the 'Buyer' and 'Seller' of the service. Where traditionally a small business would bear the risk of non payment plus the added cost and time associated with chasing up the payment, PeoplePerHour.com takes that risk.
