New figures reveal rise in at-home-mothers becoming IT consultants

PeoplePerHour.com (http://www.peopleperhour.com/) – Europe’s biggest online business marketplace – today reported a 110 percent rise in mothers looking after children at home winning work in the digital sector over the past 12 months.
 


Mothers looking after children at home were also taking work as writers and translators as 22 percent of jobs were in these categories, while a further 15 percent of jobs were in marketing and PR.
 


The highest increase in mothers-at-home working in the digital sector was in the South East with a 29 percent increase in joining the site over the last three months, with 13 percent and 10 percent respectively from the South West and Midlands.
 


Mothers at home working in the digital sector also gained the highest rating for quality of work, with an average score for female digital workers of five out of five.
