Job Description

I currently have an application that retrieves data via three methods

1) from RSS feeds
2) from using cURL on HTML pages
3) oAuth API

The application collects data from four different sites (one is a forum) and uses the following technology

1) Code written in ZEND PHP
2) Data stored in a mySQL database

The application is hosted on a Virtual Private Server running CPanel.

What I need:
I require someone to take an api, based on oAuth JSON calls and implement this functionality into the existing application. The idea will be to retrieve new data over oAuth, and insert this into the database, in addition to checking and updating existing data. A start was made by a previous developer, so you can building on this code if you feel it will save you time.


I require the following:
1) Someone to both complete this project and also work on the application on an ongoing basis to implement new features and repair errors and bugs on the backend of the application (i.e. the part that retrieves the data)

3) Someone who can test and troubleshoot their own work, and implement scripts or methods to automatically report if problems occur

4) Experience in working with MySQL databases and an understanding of structuring databases to achieve efficiency on a larger scale. You must also be able to troubleshoot common errors (e.g. Mysql database has gone away)


Please do not apply if you do not consider yourself to be experienced in

a) ZEND framework for PHP
b) implementing APIs written through oAuth
c) Data scraping using (possibly with CURL)
d) Mysql Databases

Please provide at least one example of a similar project you have completed.
