Title:Website Designer
Location:Anywhere
Job Description
As an Ecommerce solutions provider we are looking for new website designers to join our bank of freelance designers, we use a number of different designers so that our sites don\'t end up looking the same, rather than using one designer for all our work.
What we ask from the designer is a concept (jpg or pdf) home, category, product and information pages - there are certain constraints that the site has to fit into - but we are pretty flexible and it\'s usually only a case of moving things slightly to make them work.
The concepts are shown to the client and make be reworked to fit in exactly what they are looking for - on very rare occasions it might need to be started again from scratch (I can only think of one in the last year that\'s needed that!).
Once the concept is agreed we would need you to supply a range of buttons and the various banners and graphical elements that may have been included in the concept, occasionally we will ask you to include a logo design for the business.
If you are interested in doing this work then please let me know what you would charge - we do it on a per project cost so your price should include any changes that need doing up to the site going live - after its gone live and the client wants changes then we would pay for any changes the client needed on an hourly rate.
We provide the ecommerce platform - we just need a designer to design the site.

H. T. on 29/03/2010 19:09Hi David,
I read your proposal and it sounds like an interesting prospect.
Could you please just clarify, do you need someone to just design the look of the site or put the code together too?
Kind regards,
Helen

D. W. on 30/03/2010 14:28Hi Helen,
We are looking for someone to design the site and give us the various buttons and banners that are needed to build it - most of the site is constructed in our CMS.
Please let me know if you are interested.
All the best
David
H. T. on 08/04/2010 13:41Hi David,
Sorry for the delay in my reply, I have been away on family business.
Do you still require a designer?
Would be happy to chat through options with you.
Kind regards,
Helen

Here are some practical tips on staying safe
- Never pay any money to Clients and or provide sensitive details like your Bank information, Credit Card or Passwords
- Never accept a Job if you have been directed away from PeoplePerHour to another website
- Be cautious when providing your personal contact details (email, telephone number, instant message ID etc) before your Bid is accepted
- If you have been asked to send samples, put a watermark on them or send low resolution examples to avoid being exposed and not getting paid
- Don’t start work before your Bid is accepted and your Escrow deposit is made
- Keep your Escrow account topped up and ensure that you use the Private Message Board to track all pertinent details about the Job e.g. timelines, deliverables etc
- Before you supply final works to Clients, ensure you have adequate funds in Escrow
Remember: if something looks too good to be true, it probably is!
