Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
General information for the business: Web based survey systems
Kind of development: Customization of existing program
Num. of modules: 1
Description of every module: This is suitable for an experienced VBA developer with experience of working with URLs in VBA.
The “Command” worksheet in the attached Excel Workbook has, at this stage, one command button, “Load URL” and underneath is a list of one or more URLs. There are three further sheets: “URL”, “QML” and “QMLruntime”. These should each be configured as edit windows and have their own command buttons which will be specified separately.
The project, at this stage, is to:
1 Place a large form on each of the sheets: “QML”, “QMLruntime” and “URL”.
2 Each form should contain a substantial text box and these command buttons:
URL “Chrome”, “Import”, “Save”
QML “Import”, “Test”, “Save”, “Install”
QMLruntime “Import”, “Test”, “Save”, “Install”
3 The command button, “Load”, should be activated to do the following things:
a. Sense whether there is an URL with a ‘Y’ in column 1 and if so:
b. Load the source for the URL into the text box on the ”URL” worksheet
c. Load the source code the QML text into the “QML” worksheet
The source code of the QML text is contained within the URL with the tag:
\QML
\S doneurl:http://www.x-mr.com
\P First page
\Q:Gender
\A Male, Female
\S required
\P Final page
\H Thank you.
4 Load the source code for QMLruntime into the “QMLruntime” worksheet. The source of this is defined in an immediately following line:
5 The command buttons on the three worksheets containing the “load URL” results will be defined in a separate project.
This is less than half a day’s work for an experienced VBA programmer. The job is completed by sending me the attached workbook with the URL, QML and QMLruntime worksheets fully populated. I will then test is by adding another URL.
I would like this within 3-days of commissioning.
Description of requirements/functionality: No error processing needed with this version
Specific technologies required: VBA experience and working wiht URLs
OS requirements: Windows
Extra notes:
