Description
Experience Level: Expert
Information for the business: Lifestyle Climbing products
Industry: Lifestyle/Travel
Kind of apparel: Bag
Details about the apparel: Wax cotton, upcycled fabrics
Content to include on the apparel: consistent detailing
Ideas for the visual style: Illustration and images of current product
Extra notes: PANYAN climbing
I have been building a climbing / lifestyle brand over the last year, concentrating on a few products to start with to get a feel for the market before developing others.
Panyan aims to produce effective products with soul and personality that don’t solely priorities absolute functionality and loose all their character (bit of a mouth full, but thats what ive narrowed it down to so far!).
For something to be cherished and last a long time I feel it must be desirable, not just practical.
I have been making and selling chalk bags and some other one of bits and pieces such as wallets (playing with leather) up to this point. They have had some great interest from private buyers and some retail outlets, and now I am looking to outsource the manufacture to some one that is excited to get involved in the project.
Outsoursing will free up some time and concentrate on developing some other products, the main one being a backpack (wax cotton) that I'm excited to get my teeth stuck into. It would be great to have some else with a brain for textiles construction to bounce ideas off and aid in the development process if your interested in that side of things.
Currently my maximum order in one go is 20 bags and I would be looking to get them made in batches of 30-50 but cut patterns in one session for 100 to save time.
I found this allows me to slightly improve details and order of construction and so on as I sell bags and talk to people, whilst taking care of the time consuming pattern cutting in one go.
At the moment Im thinking I will charger a fixed price of £6 per bag leading to a £700 total.
This has been a really exciting past year for me and getting someone on board to bounce ideas off and have a bit of fun would be great, like wise if you fancy just cracking on with the making and leave at that thats totally fine as well.
Look forward to hearing from you!
