run a bike advertising business www.ecobikeads.co.uk. We have been running for a 21 months now and around 43% of our work comes from cold calling. But we only have 10 clients ( a lot of repeat work). All the cold calling is done by myself, Sam, whilst I have improved my ability at this, I am still no expert, so I am looking for someone to at least, do a proportion of this for me and ideally do it all if results proved this was beneficial. Then I can focus my time where I am better suited.
We are looking at one, or two other promotional ideas too, networking events and we have already undergone improvements to our website and started a monthly newsletter.
Can you help us? We get clients that want events promoting, advertising/marketing agencies, retail stores and then just general awareness. The most popular client is retailers, medium sized business and that would be who we hope you will be able to target for us initially. For example, t.j.hughes, Slaters - Mens suites and workwear.
We are based in Chester - North west and would prefer work in Chester, Manchester, Liverpool initially. But we understand the need to work further afield. e.g. if a client has number of national stores. This is something we can facility to a point/based on the work that is required.
Eventually we are looking to be a national company.
How do you operate in terms of calling potential customers, do you have contacts/databases with this clientèle already?
We would want a detailed breakdown of who you have called, what was said and your suggestions of how best to follow up. Preferably in spreadsheet format.
