Can you possibly help clarify where you state 'buy outright a software product', what type of software is it you are planning on purchasing. What is your targeted consumer market, what roles do you want the software to take. The term software is can't be taken literally. And I right in thinking your wish to purchase software from a developer at what price?? You are planning on selling this at around £20 mark. It is okay asking to purchase software but you will be purchasing this at a lot higher price than the 20 you are selling. This owuld then mean you would need a targeted market for particular software in order for enough purchases to be made in order to initiallybreak even on overall cost and potentially start making a profit.
I only stipulate all this as I have created hundreds of pieces of software in my time all with purposes to play or future potential dependant upon the type of user and business.
One thing is I would be grudge parting with any form of software I have created in order for someone to relicense it at a profit.
The more logical way is to go on board with a devloper and have software created for you through your own ideas, this way you receive payments and development carries on receiving loyalty payments. This gives you support in case of an issue with software on end users machine.
Well I hope what I have wrote can heklp clarify your original project and bring fresh approach
Regards
Stefan

- If you have been asked to send samples, put a watermark on them or send low resolution examples to avoid being exposed and not getting paid
- Don’t start work before your Bid is accepted and your Escrow deposit is made
- Keep your Escrow account topped up and ensure that you use the Private Message Board to track all pertinent details about the Job e.g. timelines, deliverables etc
