SIMPLE & SECURE CMS
Simple & secure content management system (CMS) required for business website, to be created using PHP & mySQL. Website will be in Hebrew. No knowledge of Hebrew is required but mySQL database must be set-up to work with Hebrew characters, as well as English.
WHAT DO WE NEED?
The main body of text for each page on the website will be retrieved from a mySQL database. We will need you to set-up the mySQL database and provide thr PHP code to be put in the HTML to retrieve the appropriate text for each page.
We want the client to be able to change the main body of text for each page on the website (the website will have approx. 7 pages). The client should be able to change the text by going to a password protected admin page, e.g. www.myurl.com/admin, selecting the page he wants to change, editing the text in a plain text box and clicking a CHANGE TEXT button. Once the client has done this the text will be changed on the mySQL database. A message will then appear to tell the client if the changes have been succesfully made.
The client will also be able to change certain images on the website. The client should be able to go to the same password protected admin page, select the photo he wants to change, choose a new photo from his computer and click a CHANGE PHOTO button to replace the previous photo. The photo will be automatically resized/cropped to certain dimensions (no stretching) and compressed to be under a certain file size limit. The new image will then overwrite the previous photo on the client's hosting. Again, a message will appear afterwards to tell the client if the changes have been succesfully made.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FROM APPLICANTS?
Evidence that you can implement all of the above in as simple, secure and economical a manner as possible.
We are open to alternative methods to those stated above but please state your ability to achieve exactly what is outlined above as well as any alternative ideas you may have.
