Aqua natal is a water based low impact exercise class specifically designed for pregnant women who want to exercise safely during their pregnancy.
Exercise during pregnancy is known to help mums have a good pregnancy, reduce the risk of medical issues developing during pregnancy, labour and after your baby is born and can help ensure both you and your baby stay happy and healthy throughout.
We will be working on gentle cardio vascular fitness, light resistance toning, posture, stable joint mobility and integrating relaxation.
This class is suitable for all expectant mums from your second trimester with medical clearance

Hi, I am Laura MacAulay, a pre and post-natal fitness instructor and personal trainer.
After talking to many mums I felt it was my duty as a mother and pre and post-natal fitness instructor to explain to you why I am so passionate about trying to help mums stay fit and active.
After a conversation with one of the girls at Aqua Natal she had an “AH HA” moment “never thought about that” So I wanted to share it with you. We were talking about being social during pregnancy and the friendships you can make with other women who are also pregnant.
After my first child I suffered from post-natal depression. . I would say that the change in my mood started before the birth of my first child, I spent a lot of my time on my own when I went on maternity leave watching telly and eating until my first child was born. When I look back on it now, I can definitely say I didn’t socialise or keep active with other mums to be, I didn’t make those special kind of bonds and friendships that women need during this life changing event. I think if I had of made the effort to make friendships with other mums to be its possible that by doing that it would of helped me through tough times as I would have other mums possibly experiencing the same issues I was facing to talk to. I didn’t recognise it at the time as a problem but with hind sight not solicalising whist sating active contributed to my state of mind and low mood. Aqua natal is a great opportunity to make good social circles with other mums to be and get some gentle exercise at the same time so it’s a win win for one mum to another. I want to help mums stay healthy, active, happy and sociable to lower the risk of PND as it is very common these days.
