Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: less than 1 week
Please see enclosed MS Access database. This database allows a user to track student hours for different events with a start date and end date. If available, the user can also enter the start time and end time. There are other data that can be tracked as well.
The tables are set up with some test data. Also included is a User Interface form that contains a sub form. I need help in redesigning this form and the expert selected can either start with a new form or rework this form.
The main table is the Hours table, and can be joined using unique ids to other tables for student, project, event and faculty details.
*****************************************************************
Deliverable: 3 separate tabs on one (1) main form.
*****************************************************************
Caption for Tab 1 is "Complete List"
This tab/form should show a datasheet view of all available entries.
Each row on this datasheet should show student id, student name, student email, project name, event name, start date, end date, start time, end time, faculty, section, year, term.
Essentially like the existing sub form but for all available entries in the "Hours" table.
*******************************************************************
Caption for Tab 2/form is "Search/Edit/Delete"
There is two parts to this form.
Part 3: Using a Search button
This tab/form allows a user to search by student first name and/or last name, or student id. It should be a wild card search so if I enter last name like "John" for example, it should return all students with last names containing "John" in them.
The search results should look like the existing form with:
Student Information like the first name, last name, student id and email should be displayed as text fields (non-editable at first)
In a subform - datasheet view, show all the activities associated with that student id. (Please use existing form for your reference).
Part 2: Once the user selects a student, the user should be able to click on a "Edit" button which will then make all the text fields related to the student information editable.
Part 3: Once the user selects a student, the user should be able to click on a "Delete" button, which will pop up a "Are You Sure?" message. If user clicks yes, move the information related to the student and all the activities associated with the student to an archival table. Then delete the information related to the student and all the activities associated with the student from the main tables.
************************************************************************************************************
Caption for Tab 3 is "New Student"
This tab/form is essentially the same form as tab 2, but is a blank form. It allows the user to enter a new student and the relevant project/event/date/hours information. The user must explicitly click on a SAVE button to save the information to the relevant tables.
