Description
Experience Level: Entry
Kind of writing: CV
Extra notes: I am a recent graduate of International Relations and I have just joined the workfield, I am a very focused and hard working person, but I seem to have a hard time to satisfy the needs of recruiters. I need help in fixing my CV and possibly give me advice on my cover letter as well. It would really help me. I am interested in working in International organisations/ media/ fashion/events. I need something vibrant and full of energy as I like to meet people and to communicate and travel. I do not know how much emphasis I need to put to that !
I have noticed that now it is important to show what accomplishments we have achieved, it is harder to make the little accomplishments attractive to the recruiters/managers. As mentioned above, I graduated about half a year ago, and during my studies I did not get much work experience, it was more seasonal and student jobs to have cash in the pockets.
I do not want you to just fix my CV, I need you to make it interesting, unique, and have the eye to grab the small skills and accomplishments and put it down in words that will catch the attention of recruiters.
I want to continue my studies in either communication or event and conference management.
Currently I am working as a letting negotiator , it is my first long term full time job in an office. It has given me a lot of experience in duties in the office( listed in my CV) , and it has proved to me I am a peoples person. I am not satisfied in the job I am in now as it has too many hours, barely any holidays / weekends and I prefer to work in something that has a positive effect on people ( besides the fact that its not what I want to do at all).
It would be great to have someone that understands what type of employees firms search for in London. It is essential you understand the job market in this city as it plays a big role.
I have worked previously part time for a short term in a modeling agency as an assistant to the manager ( also listed in my CV) and as an assistant to a training manager at Seznam.cz ( a type of Google in the Czech Republic) . I speak four languages fluently (Arabic, Russian, Czech and English) and I am learning Spanish. Ask me anything you need regarding my experience and what you find essential to have.
About my cover letter, I believe it is very simple and most likely has too many unnecessary information. I never know what they really want to hear as some say they want to know about you, others say they want to know and see if you are familiar with the firm, and don't want any details about you and your background.
I will chose someone to help me out with this in a day or two, until I fully have listed the essential requirements. Bear with me as I am trying to make it as easy and understandable for you and me.
Any great help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance
