Title:Magazine advertising sales
Location:Anywhere
Job Description
We are a parenting magazine aimed at "Yummy Mummies" and need someone to help sell our advertising space by contacting people to see if they wish to receive one of our media packs. There is also the opportunity to write articles for the magazine on a wide variety of lifestyle topics in the long-term if you work well on this initial project.
There is already a large database of potential advertisers and we need someone to help us work our way through them all via telephone to see if they wish to receive more information about our magazine. You can either follow-up the call yourself or you can pass it to one of other salespeople to contact - please detail which you prefer in your bid.

L. C. on 15/10/2008 19:11Hi Suzanne
I understand that you are advertising for a sales person, however it was the \'opportunities to write articles for your parenting magazine\' that caught my eye.
I have been a freelance creative writer for 9 years, covering all manner of lifestyle topics from fashion, beauty and food to travel and sport - and also happen to be quite the \'yummy mummy\'!
My writing style is chatty and conversational whilst maintaining an interesting, informative, and often humerous conent. I also pride myself on imaginative and \'new\' article ideas.
I registered on this site only yesterday and have not yet posted examples of my work, however I have plenty of examples to share with you should you be interested.
I await your response.
Best regards

S. S. on 15/10/2008 19:19Hi,
Thanks for the interest. I\'m afraid we are looking for an advertising sales person first and foremost- as mentioned in the project description the opportunity to write articles would be something in the long term.
Sorry for any confusion!
Here are some practical tips on staying safe
- Never pay any money to Clients and or provide sensitive details like your Bank information, Credit Card or Passwords
- Never accept a Job if you have been directed away from PeoplePerHour to another website
- Be cautious when providing your personal contact details (email, telephone number, instant message ID etc) before your Bid is accepted
- If you have been asked to send samples, put a watermark on them or send low resolution examples to avoid being exposed and not getting paid
- Don’t start work before your Bid is accepted and your Escrow deposit is made
- Keep your Escrow account topped up and ensure that you use the Private Message Board to track all pertinent details about the Job e.g. timelines, deliverables etc
- Before you supply final works to Clients, ensure you have adequate funds in Escrow
Remember: if something looks too good to be true, it probably is!
