Dear Sir/Madam

I am writing to apply for the "Junior Assistant Interior Designer" position. I would be grateful if you could consider my application for this position. Please find attached my CV.

Having studied product design, I later formed a interest in retail interior design. I did a 2 year FdA Retail interior design for commercial environment course at London University of the Arts where I achieved a first prize D&AD award for the design of the HSBC showcase Premier bank.

I just finish a 6 month work-placement with a established fabric and interior architecture consultant company called Change that Room in Chiswick. My duties involved working inline with the company director on design concepts. This involved designing bespoke furniture Kitchen and interior designs using VectorWorks and Photoshop.

Please contact me should you require further information, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Best regards,
Mr Vivian Thomas

Dear Sir/Madam

I was interested to see your job posting as a Junior Assistant Interior Designer, and would like to learn more about this opportunity.

I am enquiring about job vacancies as well as work experiences atyour company. I have recently graduated with a 2.1 BA Honours in Interior Architecture at Oxford Brookes and would be delighted if you would take the time to look at my CV and reflections on my work.
I would like to contribute to the work of the practice because due to the work that I have seen is in line within my conceptual interests and is incredibly diverse. I believe applying for this vacancy is a place where I could gain an understanding of the different roles in an architectural and design environment and learn most importantly what is expected of an interior architect. I admire a practice which provides suitable schemes to meet their client's needs. The clients’ desires are made priority and reviewed.
Shadowing any type of professional from your team will give me an understanding to the various roles and positions held at an Architectural and Design practice. If there are not vacancies available then I would gladly like to apply as an intern volunteer as it will keep me actively intrigued about the built environment. This could benefit your company in various ways, in this sense; I hope you recognise my desire to broaden my skills and understanding thorough a well-established company.

I have acquired skills, from my course at university, fulfilling client needs in retail branding, furniture, instillations, visualisation, product design and start-up companies. These skills can be adopted into the projects your company deals with. I like to ensure that the design quality permeates through both spectrums of Macro and Micro in form, structure, and material as it conveys how successful the client occupies and understands the space around them. For each of my projects, with the knowledge of the latest construction techniques and materials, I set diverse briefs which in return allowed me to explore the types of movements, theories and imagination in the architecture and design field. This is an advantage as I can conduct in a range of projects successfully. Throughout my education I have created sketch and experimental books which are also used for referencing skills and techniques. Motivation is a quality that has always been an essential part of my work ethic during my education and I remain determined to maintain this in a working environment.

The jobs I have done outside of interior architecture have taught me relevant skills that can be brought into a professional practice. From teaching and kitchen supervisor job experiences I have learned to work under pressure as an individual, put effort into team- work, the discipline to take instructions and doing all that you can for customer satisfaction. I feel that these skills are transferable to the architectural branch. I am equipped with the necessary skills to produce 3D visualisations that assist complex briefs and I have the essential communication skills for client interaction and presentations. I believe that these factors will be a great asset to to your company.

If you would like to discuss more about the possibility of working as a interior designer, please contact me. I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours Sincerely

Parveer Braich
