Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: Ongoing
Fair remuneration won't be an obstacle for the right people.
I'm looking for several qualified, experienced journalism translators.
That primarily means people who have worked as journalists (with respect, not people who are technical translators who have looked into journalism translation).
Original copy will be provided in English and translations are required into French, German, Spanish, Italian and possibly Dutch.
You'll be translating press releases (circa 3-350 words) and articles (750-1,500 words) and there will often be several versions of the same text - for example, a story may be written for the construction trade press, then re-written for the architectural, design, planning, procurement, project management and other trade publications, so you'll need to pick up on some subtle changes and diligently incorporate them.
Also if I pay for one 350 word press release I don't want to pay the same sum over again for the same release with edits for different sectors, because there'll be a lot of common content. Flexible remuneration is important.
I need to have people translating into their mother tongue. Translated copy will go to an in-country manager who may want changes at which point the copy may go back to you with his/her comments.
